What started as a night of fun and flirtation quickly spiraled into a shocking tale of fraud, deception, and embarrassment in Makhado Biaba, Venda.
A 43-year-old man, identified as Peter Mukwevho, is now sitting behind bars after allegedly luring three unsuspecting women into what they thought would be a thrilling evening — only for it to end in humiliation.
According to reports, the women met Peter at a lively party filled with music, dancing, and alcohol. He allegedly turned on the charm, showering them with attention before suggesting a group encounter at his home. Tempted by his charisma and reassurances, they agreed.
Once there, Peter allegedly relied on a traditional sexu@l enhancer known as Mpesu, which the women say fueled his relentless energy. One of them even recalled, “He kept going like a generator, all thanks to that Mpesu.”
But the real shock came the following morning. As a “thank you,” Peter allegedly handed each woman a thick bundle of R200 notes. At first, the women were elated, believing they had been generously compensated. But that joy didn’t last long.
When they later inspected the cash more closely, they discovered it was fake money — carefully cut and designed to look real. Their excitement turned to outrage.
Humiliated and betrayed, the women reported the incident to local police. Within days, authorities tracked Peter down and arrested him. He now faces charges of fraud and possession of counterfeit currency.
Police spokesperson Sergeant Livhuwani Mulaudzi confirmed the arrest, saying:
“We are taking this matter seriously. Possession and distribution of counterfeit money is a criminal offence. Investigations are ongoing.”
The strange incident has become the talk of the community, sparking debates around the easy circulation of fake cash and the controversial use of traditional enhancers like Mpesu in questionable ways.
The victims say they feel used and deceived — and they are urging others to be more cautious about who they trust.
Peter Mukwevho is expected to make his first court appearance in the Makhado Magistrate’s Court later this week.
